Flight- Design & Technology

As an ending to our Flight topic this term we got to put everything we learnt over the term into designing and making our own flight machine. We designed it, made it and kept modifying it until it flew just how we wanted it to. We had great fun learning about flight!

P.J/Onesie Day and School Disco- Year 6 fundraiser

Everyone had great fun dressing up in their P.J's or Onesies today. At lunchtime there was a sausage sizzle and many children joined in the disco to show their moves! The money that was raised will go towards the Yr 6 camp. Thanks to all the parents that contributed towards this.

Topic: Flight, Making our Hot Air Balloons

We used newspaper to paper mache our balloons. We then waited until they were dry and painted them. We painted a shiny finish over the top. Finally we attached our baskets and found our soft toy friends who weren't scared to go for a ride :)

Our Amazing Busy Bee Trip to MOTAT

We loved following the flight trial and looking at all the different planes. There were lots of really cool Military Planes.

We dressed up just like Pilots.

We got to fly our own plane...look out everyone!

This is T.J wearing a gas mask. The pilots used to wear them so they didn't breath in any bad fumes.

This was one of our class favourites! It is a plane that can land on water...Awesome!

We all got to travel on a Tram.

We loved our trip to MOTAT. We got to follow up with what we have been learning about flight at school and see the planes for real. It was great fun doing the experiments to test the 4 forces.
